There is a business plan that simply can’t fail, even in this economy.
All you need:
A couple of kids (the cuter, the better)
A small table and chairs
A sunny weekend day
A pitcher of lemonade
A batch of cookies
A couple of hand-made signs
A few hours on a semi-busy street.
The afternoon’s earnings totaled nearly $40. First, they paid their friends an hourly wage and then I took 35% away and taught them about taxes.
Still, though, pretty good.

I would totally buy from them!
And I thought of your “in this economy” post when I was writing mine.
ha! each time I read the phrase “in this economy” I think of you.
Taxes, I love it! I would buy from those two cuties
I’ll take a tall glass of lemonade, and two cookies, please!
Are photos with the entreprenuers extra?
taxes- too funny!
I always sold lemonade and cookies and such when I was little… one time I even went door to door around my neighborhood- haha, not sure what my parents were thinking letting me do that, I guess they knew my neighbors wouldn’t mind. So much fun to remember that!
Sooo cute! ShaLayne is wondering if they got the tithing lesson along with the tax lesson!
I couldn’t ever resist those faces.
Or cookies.
(when did you get to be a mom of “big” kids! WOW!)
That’s more money than I have…are they also a Savings & Loan operation?
Wow! The money your boys made in “this economy” is impressive! I’m thinking that selling lemonade is a better alternative than exotic dancing. Thanks for the tip!
darn taxes! …in this economy.
The last time I saw money on your blog it had been fished out of the toilet.
Good to know that is new money.
Fresh money.
Heavily taxed money.
i can never withstand a table with kids and lemonade.
mike’s neighbourhood has a block-wide yard sale, at which there are always dozens of young entrepreneurs selling their wares.
i think i consume more lemonade that day than i otherwise would over the course of a whole year, not to mention the number of cookies that end up in portable ziploc bags in my purse.
garage sale-ing take a lot out of people, you know. a girl needs sustenance. and lemonade.
Nice work boys!
Never pass a lemonade stand w/o stopping to buy. Those passers-by didn’t stand a chance.
Summer’s coming. Better open a savings account for those boys.
Let me just say, I love Christian’s longhorn hat!!
Dude, that’s not bad money. maybe I need to make some lemonade and cookies and set my 3 year old out on the street with a couple of signs. I’m pretty poor right now and I could use the cash. for the cookies, of course. I’m not actually trying to sell my 3 year old. I would never contemplate that. Well, not usually. Ok sometimes. Ok, today…for the right price.
I could smell the money just from looking at those photos. Adorable pictures!
