A Public Apology

October 26th, 2007

Who am I to tell you what or what not to put on your gift tags? I’m sorry if I hurt any of your feelings. And just for the record, I don’t have a problem with cheap gifts. I love them. I give them.

To show my sincerity, I’ve prepared a little gift for each of you:

A Public Apology

Seriously, I’m sorry.

Whew! I was sooooo offended! ;) You are hilarious! I, too, give cheap gifts — if I’m thoughtful enough to give a gift at all. And, I must admit, I have been guilty of the cheesy gift. In fact, I have a great one planned for this year. I’ll tell you about it sometime. :)

Love you, and I think it would be really hard to be offended by you!

Wow – it was that easy to make you feel guilty?? Wahoo – the gift my mother passed on to me has not gone to waste!

AND I love your gift to us. It was touching — really!

at least some people attempt to give gifts. I guess they deserve some credit for even doing that. I just don’t even try. You really make me laugh Tiff!

I forgot to memtion in my last comment that your gift doesn’t have to be eaten and therefor it is not fattening.

Thank you “beary” much. I didn’t want to “snicker” anymore about your blog. ‘Cause I think it’s worth “100 Grand.” You know I think you’re a “Big Hunk.”

In all seriousness, we did give out muffin mix one year for a neighbor gift with a note that said “You’re gettin’ muffin for Christmas.” I thought it was pretty dang funny.

Were people truly offended? I am someone who tries to be classy and simple on gift tags. I wouldn’t be impressed with cheesy sentiment, so I don’t expect everyone else to be. There are people who would genuinely laugh (my husband) but I am not one of them…
    you apology, however, is comical!
