Yesterday will go down in my personal history as The Day I Was Completely Incapacitated by a Fabulous New Haircut. Seriously, I accomplished nothing. At all. Zilch. Oh wait—I did make a few quesadillas for dinner, so I take that back. Yesterday I accomplished TWO whole things: complete self-absorbtion and four flips of a spatula. Wow. May you all have a day that productive.
Anyway, today was a new day. When I got up, I thought that I should spend the day rescuing some orphans in Cambodia or fighting fires in California to try and offset my focus yesterday. I turned on the TV to see what time it was and I realized that my thoughts and prayers needed to be with one of the poor, hopeless contestants on Dancing with the Stars. Let the orphans and fire refugees wait, Marie needs me now.
As you can see, I was back in the drivers seat and ready for my C-game once again. Other than my regular work, we got on task to finalize the kid’s Halloween costumes. Max has requested to be a “skeltaton”. I tried to talk him into being a “vampiper” like my friend’s little boy. He stuck with the skeltaton plan, even though vampiper is more fun to say.
Christian wants to be a homeless man we saw in San Francisco.
(That’s Max laughing and squealing in the background.)
Of course, this costume is intricate and elaborate, and will take me a long time to put together. So, until I can put the finishing touches on “Bush Man”, Christian will just have to attend our church party tonight in the old standby:

Here’s to another amazing day!

When that homeless man jumped out at me when I was there, I came embarrassingly close to wetting my pants. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. He needs a job. A real one.
“The Bush Man” might just be one of the funniest guys. We took 200 people to San Francisco for work a couple of years ago and saw him do his “act” on a lot of them. It was funny everytime. Way to go Christian… that will be funny.
that would scare me half to death… at least he has a sense of humor…
Love the Napoleon costume!!!
Although I feel for Marie, I think your super hero powers would be better served on Cambodia and California
That video of Max laughing is so funny. I was laughing out loud…not at the bushman, but at Max. I love his laugh.
love the video! and as for a vampiper (heehee). My brother was one (or dracula) year after year after year. And my mom hated that I was always telling him he needed to choose a different costume because it was obviously much easier for her to recycle it year after year after year.
