Random Revisited

July 13th, 2007

For $100, I was able to find out yesterday that I don’t have strep throat. I really had mixed feelings about that. If I have to fork out that money in my current uninsured state, I was hoping that it would have turned out to be for a legitimate cause. I should have bought a really nice pair of jeans instead. That would have made me feel better.

I am really going to miss Liz, who is moving to Colorado very soon. At the same time, I’m very happy for the adventures that lie ahead for her. I’m also very happy for blogging, which will keep us aware of the little details in each other’s lives.

I know it’s kind of preliminary, but I think my dog is a genius. She has only had two accidents in the house in the last nine days. This has increased her chances of remaining at our house and alive.

I think the apple juice slush at Sonic is going to be the theme drink of my summer.

If I had a million dollars today, I would spend all of it on a very long massage. Lying in bed all week has really worn me out.

I really think I want this dress:

I just put the link in DeDe. It’s from Delias.

cute dress, yeah for a quick house training, yeah again for massages and sorry (?) you don’t have strep throat, or at least that you had to spend money to discover that.

I’m really sorry you live with your husband while being so sick, if he’s anything like mine.

Growing up my mom would make a bed on the couch with fresh bedding, set the T V tray next to you a variety of get well items. The humidifer going full throttle, Dad’s handerchief with just the right amount of Vicks Vapo Rub, hot soup, 8 garlic oil capsules, (sure to cure everything, and repel people for the next week) and jello water (Mom’s answer to Gatorade).

On the other hand, living with a someone from our husbands’ family, you hear, “Everybody’s sick. I don’t feel good either! Stay away from me, I don’t want it! You’ve just got to get up and get going! Then you’ll feel better!”

For what it’s worth, I have the utmost sympathy for you Tiff. You deserve the dress!

I think you should buy the dress as well. Yesterday I was near tears at how freakin expensive hospitals and doctors are. A hundrend dollars to be told you are okay. It’s outrageous. That’s what it is.

Who’s Liz, and is she moving to Grand Junction? It would be nice to borrow some of your friends when we move!

So very sorry that you’re sick. Dang Doctors! ; ) You’d think with all of their “practicing medicine” that they would be able to fix anything. Maybe eventually, practice makes perfect, afterall.

I was just listening to the “If I had a million dollars song’ by Bare Naked Ladies today, I love that song. That dress is so cute, what a fashion plate you’ll be.

Remember playing with fashion plates? Those were fun. I hope you feel better!

It’s all my fault. I’m the one who started thinking about how sick you were feeling and how long it had lasted and that strep can mutate into something far more serious if it goes untreated and…and…. and I’m your mother for heaven sakes! I’m sorry it was an expensive diagnosis. But I’ll stop short of taking responsibility for the bill. :-) Glad you’re ok. Really glad.

The dress is sooooo cute and sooo you. Maybe it’s sooo me too.
    Did you get it?
