Me: I hope you figure out how to use your Shuffle.
Mrs. Smith: I know. I’ve got to figure out how to get back to the beginning of the playlist.
Me: There’s probably some button you hold down for a few seconds to return to the start, or something like that.
Mrs. Smith: Right, something like that. Because right now it’s on Josh Grobin, but for working out I want it to be on Ella Enchanted.
Wow, I don’t even know what Ella Enchanted is, so I think I’m on a different musical plane as well. Good luck with the Shuffle Mrs. Smith!
My worst fear has finally come true…one of our 6 a.m. conversations ending up on your blog! It is amazing that you can even stand to be friends with me! I have figured it all out though…so no worries. Thanks for being so great at all you do (including being my friend!) And yes, it was VERY hard for me to post this comment, but you left me no choice.
You should try riding in the car with Mr. Smith listening to that crap! It is truly amazing how we are so close. This music smackoff stuff is pretty fun. E-dog are you out there? What do you have to say Erasure boy?
Let’s get ready to ruuuummmmble!
Music is very generational, and you typically listen to the music you grew up with or that was popular in your teen years. That’s why I can’t figure out why R-Dog can listen to Bob Dylan mumble 24/7. I’m just stayin’ true to my big haired, electronic rock of the 80’s and 90’s. I have to say that I do like much of the modern rock today also. I just can’t listen to the stuff my parents and grandparents rocked out to. It’s just a good thing we don’t all have to share one iPod, cuz it might get real ugly.
Say hi to Bob, Ringo, Mick and the rest of the American Bandstand for me.
I love to observe your friendship with the elusive Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Seems you and Ryan have found your Charity and Sid. (Have you read Stegner’s “Angle of Repose”?)
Mrs Smith I would totally hang out with you! I have Josh Groban AND Ella Enchanted on my I-Pod too! I have nothing but total and complete respect for you.
