What Christian has to say this afternoon:
“Well, didn’t have a very good day at school. I had spaghetti for lunch, and they don’t even have breadsticks anymore! That’s the whole reason I get spaghetti in the first place. It was so pathetic. They had a piece of bread that they said was ‘garlic bread’ and it had this yellow stuff on it, but when you bite it, it just tastes like regular bread. It was so pathetic. And then at recess, Lochlan was being all weird. He was like, ‘arrggg, arrgghh, arrgh’ like he was trying to be funny, but he wasn’t. It was so annoying. Then later at recess, I was building a volcano out of gravel, and some stupid third grader came and smashed it! Then, I don’t even get to go home today, I just go to school, go to grandma’s, go to my lesson, go to the Jazz game. When I get home it’s going to be the middle of the night. And I’m hungry. Those candies that Elaine gives out at piano lessons only last, like, one second and then they’re gone and I’m still hungry. And I bet at the Jazz game, they’re not even going to give out any more statues. It’s the last game of the season, and there are all these statues we don’t even have.”
I wonder if I should remind him that he almost died flying the kite on Sunday…
